Free Income Tax Preparation Workshop
Tax season can feel overwhelming, but local families do not have to navigate it alone.
Habitat for Humanity of Lake-Sumter is partnering with United Way of Lake and Sumter Counties to host a free Income Tax Preparation Workshop designed to help individuals and families feel confident and informed as they prepare their taxes.
This workshop will walk participants through the basics of tax preparation in a clear, supportive environment. Attendees will learn how to understand common tax forms and required documentation, identify available deductions and credits, and file accurately while avoiding common mistakes. There will also be time to ask questions and learn about additional resources that may be available for extra support.
Whether you are filing for the first time or simply want to make sure you are maximizing your refund, this workshop offers practical guidance from knowledgeable professionals who are there to help.
The Income Tax Preparation Workshop will take place on January 15 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Leesburg Resource Center, located at 1041 CR 468, Leesburg, FL 34748.
