Women Build Is Back and Registration Is Open

Women Build is officially back, and we could not be more excited to kick off another season of women coming together to make an impact in our community.

Women Build is more than a build program. It is a movement of women from across Lake and Sumter counties who choose to use their time, talents, and voices to help make affordable homeownership possible for local families while building confidence, connection, and community along the way.

Each Women Build season, participants work together to raise $100,000 and help build a Habitat home for a local family. Every dollar raised and every hour volunteered plays a direct role in turning the dream of homeownership into a reality.

Whether this is your first time on a Habitat build site or you have joined us before, Women Build is designed to meet you where you are.

No construction experience is required. Just a willingness to learn, lend a hand, and be part of something meaningful.

Throughout the Women Build season, participants raise funds, volunteer on the build site, and stand shoulder to shoulder with other women who believe that safe, stable housing changes lives. Together, we help create homes that offer security, opportunity, and a foundation for the future.

For many women, Women Build is also deeply personal. It is a chance to step outside your comfort zone, try something new, and see firsthand the impact of your efforts, not just in the walls being built but in the community being strengthened.

Registration for Women Build 2026 is now open, and we would love for you to be part of this year’s build.

If you have been looking for a way to give back, connect with other women, and make a tangible difference right here at home, this is your moment.

Because when women build, our entire community grows stronger.
