Jingle Build-Off Wrap-Up
This year’s Jingle Build-Off included 22 local sponsors and 22 families totally in love with their brand-new playhouses!
The event brought together the spirit of community, creativity, and holiday joy as local businesses teamed up with families to build custom-designed playhouses, all with the goal of bringing smiles to the faces of deserving children.
Jingle Build-Off included local sponsors, skilled builders, and 22 excited families from the surrounding areas. These families were selected based on their need for a safe, creative space for their children, and the playhouses were custom designed around the interests of the children.
Local sponsors, from construction companies to design firms and community organizations, played a key role in supporting the event and to help bring the dream playhouses to life. The event was broken into three key days, each offering a unique experience for everyone involved.
The first day, Thursday, December 5, was Media & Build Day in Tavares. It was a day dedicated to bringing attention to the project and showcasing the incredible teamwork involved. Local media outlets were on hand to cover the event, highlighting the efforts of the sponsors.
The second day, Friday, December 6, marked the Wildwood Family Reveal Day. It was a heartwarming moment as the first group of families in Wildwood gathered to see their new playhouses for the first time. Each playhouse was a unique design, ranging from an ice cream shop castle to a Titanic ship, ensuring that each child’s dream playhouse came to life.
The final day, Saturday, December 7, was the Tavares Family Reveal Day. This was the grand finale of the Jingle Build-Off, where the remaining families had the opportunity to unveil their playhouses. Surrounded by family, friends, and the local community, the children were filled with awe as they saw their new playhouses, which had been tailored to fit their interests and imaginations.
The Jingle Build-Off was a resounding success, thanks to the generosity of the local sponsors, the tireless efforts of the builders, and the enthusiasm of the families. The event raised over $50,000 total to fund Habitat Lake-Sumter’s mission. We are so thankful as the event not only brought joy to 22 local children but also strengthened the bonds of the community, proving that when people come together, anything is possible.
