About Jingle Build-Off

Jingle Build-Off is a team-building competition and community event where groups compete to become the Ultimate Playhouse Pros.

Local businesses and partners join together to build custom playhouses for families in Lake and Sumter Counties who otherwise couldn’t afford such a gift. Playhouses will be on display in Wildwood (Dec 5*) and Tavares (Dec 6*), then remain up for a week while the public votes for their favorite. At the end of the week, we’ll crown this year’s champions.

All proceeds go directly toward building affordable housing in our community—so give more when you give back this holiday season at Jingle Build-Off 2025!

We’re looking for families to partner with for Jingle Build-Off 2025 to receive a Playhouse! 

Our goal is to create a bit of extra-special holiday magic for families who would otherwise not have access to a gift like this. 

If selected, your Playhouse will be built specifically with your family in mind. Be as specific as possible in your application so our builders can create a Playhouse perfect for your little ones.

Unlock your organization’s creativity and get into the holiday spirit by building your very own playhouse! Jingle Build-Off is a fantastic opportunity for team building during the holiday season.

Jingle Build-Off Team Build – $2,500

Your playhouse entry fee will be used as a donation to fund affordable housing solutions in Lake & Sumter County and of course, cover the cost of the playhouse you will build for a child in need. Playhouses can be built at the location of your choice starting in October, or built on-site in Tavares on December 4th or 6th.

  • Teams will be assigned a child to customize a playhouse for no later than 2 weeks prior to the chosen playhouse build date
  • All supplies will be provided by Habitat for Humanity of Lake-Sumter 
  • Teams will be supported by construction staff and qualified volunteers from Habitat Lake-Sumter
  • Vote Online! Your playhouse will be part of Habitat’s Virtual Christmas Village for one week. Online voting will decide Community Choice for favorite playhouse and winner of the “Jingle Build Playhouse Pro’s” award!

Families are being selected to receive a playhouse through local schools and community members throughout Lake & Sumter- do you know a family who would benefit from a very special gift this year? Submit an application on their behalf and brighten up their holiday season!
