Habitat for Humanity of Lake-Sumter, FL (Habitat) is an ecumenical, Christian ministry dedicated to partnering with families and the community to create simple, decent, affordable housing for people living in sub-standard and overcrowded conditions beyond their control. Habitat for Humanity of Lake County completed its first home in 1990, and in 2007 the organization merged with the Sumter County affiliate. The organization is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International.
