Get ready for a day of fun, excitement, and community spirit! The Amazing Race for Charity is back on Saturday, March 21, and this year, Habitat for Humanity of Lake-Sumter is one of the honored beneficiaries.

Teams will navigate a thrilling 5–6 mile course across Eustis, facing challenges that test their strength, teamwork, and creativity while raising funds to help families achieve safe, affordable homeownership in our community. Every obstacle completed, every mile run, and every team participating directly supports Habitat’s mission of building homes, hope, and opportunity for local families.

Last year, the race featured teams supporting 10 local nonprofits, including Habitat for Humanity of Lake-Sumter, Worth It Suicide Outreach and Support, Trout Lake Nature Center, Lake Cares Food Pantry, Education Foundation of Lake County, Hand in Hand Recovery, Episcopal Children’s Services, the Humane Society of Lake County, Companions for Courage, and LovExtension. It was a day of teamwork, fun, and impact for the community.

Even if you’re not racing, you can still be part of the excitement. Come out, cheer on the teams, and celebrate the difference your support makes possible. Your encouragement fuels the racers and reminds everyone why we come together as a community.

We can’t wait to see the energy, teamwork, and smiles along the course and the difference this event makes for families in Lake and Sumter counties.
