The Amazing Race for Charity is back on Saturday, March 21, and this year, Habitat for Humanity of Lake-Sumter is one of the honored beneficiaries. We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help make the day run smoothly — from assisting at our checkpoint to cheering on participants. Your time and energy help support Habitat’s mission of building homes, hope, and opportunity for local families.
Teams will navigate a thrilling 5–6 mile course across Eustis, facing challenges that test their strength, teamwork, and creativity — all while raising funds for nonprofits in our community. Last year, the race featured teams supporting 10 local organizations, including Habitat, Worth It Suicide Outreach and Support, Trout Lake Nature Center, Lake Cares Food Pantry, Education Foundation of Lake County, Hand in Hand Recovery, Episcopal Children’s Services, the Humane Society of Lake County, Companions for Courage, and LovExtension. It was a day of teamwork, fun, and impact — and volunteers played a huge role in making it all happen.
Even if you’re not racing, you can be part of the excitement by volunteering. From helping run Habitat’s challenge to cheering on teams, your participation ensures the day is successful and helps Habitat continue to make a difference in the lives of families in Lake and Sumter counties.
We can’t wait to see the energy, teamwork, and smiles volunteers bring along the course — and the difference your support makes for local families.
When & Where: 8 a.m., March 21, at Ferran Park, 250 Ferran Park Drive, Eustis.
