Save the Date: Giving Week begins December 1st!
We’re excited to share that Habitat Lake-Sumter is once again participating in the Mount Dora Community Trust’s Giving Week Matching Grant Contest! This year, Giving Week runs Monday, December 1st through Monday, December 8th, so be sure to mark your calendars.
What is Giving Week?
Giving Week is an annual community fundraising event hosted by the Mount Dora Community Trust, a longtime partner of Habitat Lake-Sumter. During this special week, local nonprofits like ours compete for matching funds from MDCT, giving donors the chance to double their impact in our community during the holiday season.
Giving Week takes place around Giving Tuesday, a global initiative that encourages people and organizations to give back and make a difference in their communities. It’s a wonderful way to kick off the season of giving and support meaningful local work.
Kick off Giving Week on December 1st!
The Mount Dora Community Trust will have $10,000 in matching funds available that day, with donations between $10 and $500 eligible to be matched — but they go fast! Make sure to donate early to take full advantage of the match and help families in our community get the support they need.
