Habitat for Humanity Lake-Sumter ReStores are nonprofit home improvement stores and donation centers that sell new and gently used furniture, appliances, home accessories, building materials and more to the public at a fraction of the retail price. Proceeds are used to help build strength, stability, self-reliance and shelter in our hometown community. All donations are tax deductible and better yet we offer FREE, easy pick up! 100% of the sales from Habitat for Humanity ReStores support our Hometown projects.
Need to donate stuff?
Remodeling, cleaning, down-sizing or just getting organized? Whatever your project, don’t let the items you no longer need end up in your local landfill.
Habitat ReStores divert hundreds of tons from landfills each year, accepting hard-to-dispose-of items including new and used furniture, appliances and surplus building materials. Plus, a free pickup service is provided for large items… And best of all, proceeds from the sale of these donated goods help families build a foundation for the future.
How to donate
Our staff and volunteers make the donation process as simple as possible. You can always donate goods in person at one of our four locations throughout Lake or Sumter Counties or if you have a large item, just simply call our scheduling center for your free donation pick up – (352) 589-3005.

The Habitat ReStore shopping experience
Shopping at a Habitat ReStore isn’t like the shopping experience anywhere else. Part home improvement store, part homegoods store, part resale store, each of our ReStores have a wide selection that changes often. You benefit because you get fantastic new and gently used home improvement items below retail prices. Folks in your community benefit because your purchase supports local affordable housing projects.

- New and gently used furniture: Couches, Entertainment Centers, Coffee Tables, Dining Sets, Dressers, Beds Frames and Mattresses, End Tables, Desks, Office Chairs, Recliners, and Accent Chairs.
- Household Items: Home Decor, Dishes, Linens, Clothing, Shoes, Televisions, Radios, Toasters, Blenders, Crock pots, and Utensils.
- Appliances: Refrigerators, Stoves, Dishwashers, Microwaves, and Exercise Equipment.
- Home Improvement Items: Cabinets, Carpet, Tile, Mirrors, Bathtubs, Ceiling Fans, Light Fixtures, Interior and Exterior Doors, Windows
