Save the Date: Giving Week begins December 2nd!
We are thrilled to announce that we are once again participating in the Mount Dora Community Trust’s Giving Week Matching Grant Contest. Giving Week starts Monday, December 2nd, so be sure to save the date!
What is Giving Week? Giving Week is an annual community fundraising event hosted by the Mount Dora Community Trust, a longtime partner of Habitat Lake-Sumter. During Giving Week, local nonprofits like Habitat Lake-Sumter compete for matching funds from MDCT, helping donors double their dollars and double their impacts to their community during the holiday season.
Giving Week occurs annually around Giving Tuesday, a global initiative that aims to “unleash the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world,” an encourages folks to give back to their communities at the start of the holiday season.
In total, the Mount Dora Community Trust will be giving away $100,000 of matching funds. Be sure to check our Facebook page on December 2nd to see how Habitat Lake-Sumter is participating in this year’s competition!
