Habitat for Humanity of Lake-Sumter, alongside Eustis High School and sponsors First National Bank of Mount Dora and Vann Gannaway Chevrolet, kicked off construction of a new triplex Nov. 7, the high school’s sixth new home build with Habitat’s Youth Construction Academy.

The triplex is being constructed in Tavares, with help from students, as part of The Cottages at Heritage Grove neighborhood. Following the celebration, Habitat hosted a homeowner dedication for newly completed homes within the neighborhood.

Construction will be ongoing during the school through May. In May, students and teachers will be included in a dedication ceremony when the keys to the house will be handed to a family in need that has completed Habitat’s Home Ownership program.
