What Women Built

044

This year’s Women Build Week was a great success at our Wildwood home! A HUGE thanks to all of our volunteers. We had over 50 volunteers onsite helping support the Jackson family in their dream of home ownership.  Over the four days, women from all over our community came together to frame the home.  As we began that week the home was simply a concrete slab, after four days of hard work and a bit of glistening (*women glisten, they don’t sweat)  the concrete slab held four beautifully framed walls and the love that we put it in.  Below we are happy to share some highlights throughout the week.  We are grateful for Lowe’s Heroes coming out to join us and their support of Women Build Week – a time to empower women to advocate for affordable housing and spotlight the homeownership challenges faced by many people.
